Job description
Trilateral Research is recruiting for a Research Analyst to join our Innovation and Research Services team in Ireland. As part of this team, you will deliver research services in the AWARE project focusing on raising GDPR awareness for micro-enterprises, whilst supporting other research projects as required.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Project delivery:
Ensure independent, effective, and timely delivery of contributions to the AWARE project and other projects as required (including research, reports, other outputs) in direct communication with project managers, manager, and/or clients. This will include:
Creating a repository of publicly available tools and materials improving GDPR awareness of SMEs.
Finalising a stakeholder analysis focusing on SMEs in the health and beauty sector; business associations; data protection authorities.
Contributing to the design of questionnaires for SME associations and chambers of commerce in EU Member States, on their role in GDPR compliance of their members, including the interplay with new technologies.
Interviewing SME associations and chambers of commerce in EU Member States on GDPR & technology and analysing results.
Disseminating and communicating information about the project and its findings to target stakeholders.
Represent Trilateral at project meetings and external events.
Work with colleagues to identify opportunities for strategic priority alignment through project activities.
Research impact:
Deliver agreed activities to enhance the profile of Trilateral in collaboration with team members e.g., via peer-reviewed publications, popular press articles, presentations etc.
Liaise with the Research Communications team to maximise the impact of project outputs and services in line with project and company goals.
Team development:
Buddy project/team members on project or subject matter expertise.
Contribute to team development initiatives.
Job requirements
Required education and experience:
Essential:
Master’s or PhD (or near completion of PhD) in data protection, GDPR or AI assurance.
Experience conducting research in related/relevant areas to the role responsibilities.
Desirable:
Proven track record of building relationships with research collaborators.
Experience of delivering a range of research outputs.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Professional knowledge and technical skills:
Essential:
Good understanding of data protection and GDPR.
Demonstrable research and analytical skills and capabilities.
Strong presentation skills with an ability to effectively communicate across and outside the organisation.
Desirable:
Knowledge or experience in project management principals.
Risk management skills.

Location: This position is open to candidates based in the Republic of Ireland
Contract type: 8-month fixed-term contract
Start date: ASAP
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Hours: Full-time / 40 hours per week
